To be sure, open a terminal and run the following command: :~$ sudo apt search git Git on the Debian repositoriesĪs you can see, there are many packages related to Git. This makes the major Linux distributions include it in their official repositories. One of the main advantages of Git is that it is incredibly popular. So do not use both because it can create problems. Each one has its advantages, but you only have to choose one. In this post, I will show two different methods to get to the goal of installing Git. So it is a good idea to know how to install Git on this system. This is because Git allows for online collaboration through versioning of the software.Īs is well known, Debian 10 is a robust operating system used by many developers to create their applications. On the other hand, Git is used by many open-source projects that host the source code in solutions like Github or Gitlab. Many commercial applications use Git in development. Thanks to the ease of use, the great community behind it, and its robustness, Git has become incredibly popular. Thanks to this program, you can track changes in the software, as well as reverse it or make a new version of it. Git is an open-source software version control system and cross-platform that will help you version the program you developed. Thanks to this tutorial, you will learn how to install Git on Debian 10. Filr makes the file server (network drives) and storage resources available via a logical abstraction layer. Filr, which is conceptually similar to an internally hosted ownCloud installation, focuses exclusively on file-sharing and collaboration features. Novell Filr is a new file-sharing platform designed as a cloud solution. Novell's new Filr service is such a solution. Integration with an existent directory service makes a separate user management obsolete and handles permissions for file sharing centrally. The solution also needs to ensure that all data is encrypted for mobile device access and not exported to a public cloud. A web interface is needed to ensure that access to your own data is also possible with clients on which you can't install any software. Additionally, mobile device users can access their documents offline. Such a solution removes the need for the users to battle with server names, long URLs, drive names, paths, and the like. What can an external employee do if the admin restricts access to network drives or if the network is not working as it should? In the worst case – and without the knowledge of the admin – users will upload company documents to Dropbox and synchronize them with other devices and their home office.Īlthough traditional file servers are currently still standard in many companies, a solution that gives all employees – whether internal or external – a consolidated view of the data is really what's needed. The current protocols and network filesystems are not designed for mobile use. A secure VPN access to the company's file server is possible in principle but not very practical on mobile devices. The integration of external employees gives the topic a whole new dimension. The manufacturers of these systems see the same problem from a different angle for them, it is a matter of coordinating teamwork and storing documents efficiently. ![]() The ideal situation is for companies to require their employees to use existing document management solutions. People who use centralized file storage benefit the most. Today, people need to organize and process many documents, and storing documents related to a reference contact, event, or project on this type of system is a good idea. If you believe the marketing hype, collaboration platforms such as SharePoint, OX App Suite, Kolab, and Zarafa can do everything: With their integrated document management, they are the focal point of corporate communications and, of course, the starting point for file storage. ![]() ![]() A mobile armoured flamethrower would allow the short-ranged weapon system to get close to the enemy with minimal risk from small-arms fire.Ĭhurchill Crocodile firing its flamethrower With the First World War bringing about the development of the tank and the flamethrower, different nations would devise ways to combine the two into a single weapon system during the interwar period. Vulnerable to shots through the top front of the turret. The use of the flamethrower is situational as most tanks at this BR are fully enclosed.Inadequate 75 mm gun, same as the one on the Churchill VII.Flamethrower fuel is vulnerable to being shot.Access to a flamethrower, effective against open-topped vehicles. It will struggle to get into any strategic spots during matches, and extra care must be taken to avoid enemies camping around the maps at the start of a match. The tank's slow top speed, combined with its relatively poor main armament, makes it very situational most of the time. Thanks to its thick armour, the Churchill Crocodile can hold a strategic position, like a choke point or a capture zone. Due to the 75 mm's low penetration and situational use of the flamethrower, it is recommended to work and rely on teammates to help destroy the enemy. The flamethrower is useful against open-topped vehicles, but otherwise the Churchill Crocodile's offensive capabilities remain the same as the Churchill VII with the 75 mm gun. The Churchill Crocodile is not too different from the Churchill VII, being a modified version with a flamethrower weapon in the bow gunner position. The flamethrower can be used to kill open-topped targets behind cover, by just spraying it over an obstacle until at least some of the flames land on the enemy Furthermore, the flamethrower's range is limited, and aiming it requires aiming the gun upwards, which can interfere with firing from the main gun. The use of the flamethrower is highly situational: most of the time, it will not damage enemy tanks that are adequately protected. The tank crew will be unharmed, but the weapon system will be rendered unusable. If this fuel tank is destroyed, it will explode. Flamethrower fuel tanks are susceptible to being shot. When it is not in use, the fuel trailer is a major indicator of the vehicle. Since this weapon is very unique, enemies will know a Churchill Crocodile is around when the flamethrower is used. Fire can serve as a deterrent to vehicles with exposed crew from getting too close, something that can be problematic for a Churchill tank. Fully armoured vehicles can be shot with flames to blind and confuse them which can allow the Crocodile to shoot back or reposition itself. In attacking enemies that are fully armoured, a Churchill Crocodile can use its flamethrower to temporarily blind or distract the enemy. Unfortunately, the slow speed of the Crocodile can make it difficult to get within range, so players will need to use the vertical limit to lob shots onto the enemy. Vertical guidance is quite good, which can allow it to reach targets at short ranges outside of point-blank. As such, it has a very limited traverse and is dependent on the hull position for horizontal targeting. ![]() This weapon is located in the bow gun position, replacing the machine gun mounted in the regular Churchill VII. 6/2, however, would be burnt down within a few seconds. For example, if a Churchill Crocodile shot flames at a Pz.IV H, it would take no damage. However, this weapon is particularly useful for eliminating exposed crew members in open-topped vehicles and SPAA. Due to the weight of fuel, flamethrowers can only hit targets at relatively short ranges. Main articles: Flamethrower, BESA (7.92 mm)Īs the flamethrower is unable to penetrate fully armoured vehicles, it is ineffective damage-wise against most tanks that a player will encounter.
